The NHS Resolution Claims Management function has embarked on the next phase of transformation and expansion with a vision to deliver a single, integrated claims function, with a supportive organisational structure that avoids duplication of effort and allows teams to develop their skills.
The claims teams manage claims emanating from former PCTs and Strategic Health Authorities, which transferred to the Secretary of State. The Claims teams work in an interesting and dynamic climate, all contributing to a continually improving claims service.
The Claims Intervention Team (CIT) is dedicated to inspiring change within our organisation to enhance operations and advance our business strategy.
Our focus includes collaborating with Claimant Solicitors for early claim resolutions, analysing market behaviours to identify opportunities for strategic changes and exert influence in the Claims market to benefit our organisation. In addition, CIT conducts data analysis to identify patterns and trends that improve our claims processes.
The opportunity
We are looking for Claims Assistants to join our Claims Intervention Team, providing administrative support to facilitate the resolution of claims. You will assist in the claims management process by handling various claims-related tasks and also contributing to project work in the team. This role is 37.5 hours per week, initially offered on 23 months fixed term contract with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.
What you'll be doing
- Data input and entry including preparing spreadsheets and templates
- Organising meetings and minute taking
- Using AI models across a variety of applications
- Assisting in preparing and designing presentation templates
- Diary management
- Sending/receiving/reviewing correspondence from variety of stakeholders
- Responding to emails and in person enquiries
- Using claims management system
- Email/shared mailbox responsibility and management
What you'll bring
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidence in making enquiries via phone and email.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Intermediate IT proficiency in a range of Microsoft products and experience of using bespoke databases.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage and take responsibility for tasks, not simply complete them
