Job Description

Join us in one of two new, key senior roles in our Advice service. These specialist, externally facing roles, are designed to further strengthen effective delivery and ongoing development of our Case Advice Service. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure our service remains the leader in the resolution of concerns about performance in the NHS.

You will work closely with the Director of Advice and Appeals, providing leadership and support to our Case Advice Service. As an experienced expert in a relevant field, you will bring your strong expertise and proven leadership experience to the roles and enjoy delivering as part of a strong leadership team.

The Roles:

  • Service Lead for Technical Development
  • Service Lead for Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide senior leadership to the Case Advice Service and the team, ensuring a high-quality, robustly governed service with a focus on achieving excellence and positive impact in every case.
  • Management: Providing management to expert professionals and creating a high-quality team.
  • National reach: Ensure robust support and governance that upholds the highest principles of patient safety, safeguarding, just culture, and continuous learning.
  • Service Lead for Quality Assurance: Influence the quality assurance framework across all of Advice’s functions and services, driving initiatives that support and demonstrate consistent compliance with the highest standards.
  • Service Lead for Technical Development: Drive initiatives that enhance skills, knowledge, and competencies across Advice, ensuring our services meet the highest standards and are delivered consistently by our Advisers working with NHS organisations.

Both roles will also manage a small caseload, taking responsibility for a number of linked organisations.
